Client: Superbyte Festival
Collective members involved: Lyndsey Yates
Superbyte Festival ran for 3 years at various locations in Manchester. It was a chiptune festival, jam packed with music made on some of the finest examples of retro computers and gadgetry. There was a retro gaming museum where players could challenge each other to classic games such as Super Mario, Sonic, Super Bomberman and Micro Machines. The designs for the promotional posters, social media graphics, event signage, wristbands and merchandise needed to appeal to this audience, but we were keen to not go too cliche.
Each year, the event promotional materials were designed by Lyndsey to a brief provided by the event organiser, Adrian Thompson. Adrian had this to say about Lyndsey and the work she did in those 3 years:
“Lyndsey took on the design and branding work for SuperByte Festival between 2013 and 2015. For each event she delivered high quality work that was not only right on specification but also highly creative and individual. She took the time to get to know our brand and ideals, and her work for us took that into account perfectly. Alongside the great quality work, she was a pleasure to work with, always on deadline and felt more like one of the team than an external contractor. I would be happy to recommend her services.”
